Aquasun Canvas Company is a multi-faceted, progressive canvas &textile fabricator. We’re nestled in the Shumway Marine Complex, adjoining Schooner’s Restaurant, proudly representing the prestigious Port of Rochester at the mouth of the Genesee river, on the south shore of Lake Ontario.
Originally founded as Canvas Ma’am, in 1980 as a marine canvas shop,it subsequently moved to the Shumway Marine complex in 1987.Since our purchase of the company in 2005 our current location is now at 55 Marina Drive (also in the marine complex). (Click on map)
With our acquisition we’ve added 7 additional sewing machines, carpet binding , new shop equipment, a company van, and computerized graphic design to our arsenal. We now are confidant that we can handle the lightest fabrics to the heaviest circus tent more than just adequately, but with the care and professionalism expected of us.
